Learning, living, experiencing another culture, all on my own.
A quick update from Myanmar (also known as Burma). I am safe. There is plenty of food and water, but electricity is out almost everywhere.
For more on what's happening over here, check out the New York Times or the BBC's coverage.
I was just talking about the Myanmar disaster w/my editor, which reminded me that I needed to check your blog. I was surprised to see that you made it into the country. What an experience! I can't wait to hear more about it. Stay safe!
Jess...here's something for your readers to check out as well. The Associated Press put it together and I just got the link in an e-mail.http://hosted.ap.org/specials/interactives/_international/myanmar_cyclone/index.htmlStay safe!
Hmmm...that didn't work. Hopefully this will. It should all by one URL.http://hosted.ap.org/specials/interactives/_international/myanmar_cyclone/index.html
I was so worried about you because I knew you would be traveling there. Thanks for updating us on your condition. I'm praying for you.
